I have this problem of not believing in my own spelling abilities.

The man in the cubicle next to me often asks me how to spell things. This time it was the word "gig"...he said, "when you have a gig...do you spell that g. i. g." of course I was like, "yeah".

But then...in the back of my head I start going...oh no...maybe it ends with two g's. No matter how easy the word - I do this.

So every time someone asks me to spell something I ultimately end up pulling down the dictionary and looking up incredibly simple words.
